We recognise that everybody deserves a break from time to time, and here at Highwood Care Home, our teams support and encourage that break. Take that time for yourself and know that a secure and supportive team of highly qualified individuals are on hand to care for your loved one, whether you’re seeking temporary care following a hospital stay or need some time to recover personally. The duration of respite care in our care home can vary, ranging from several weeks to a few months, dependent on individual requirements or needs, which we evaluate upon their arrival.

Respite care is particularly useful for individuals in need of rehabilitation after an illness or a hospital stay. Many individuals choose to stay at our care home for respite as a trial period to find out whether our home is the right fit for them before committing to us at Highwood Care Home as their permanent residence. We encourage potential residents of Highwood Care Home to undertake a trial stay with us before taking that significant step if you are uncertain.
