Residential Care FAQs

Residential care is for those whoo require full time accommodation and the option for around the clock support with medical and personal care, also perfect for anyone who feels lonely and would benefit from group living. Nursing care is very similar as it also provides care and support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, yet its more designed for those who need additional help from registered general nurses who can administer medication and medical treatment during any time.

We have personalised care plans for all residents and these are monitored and assessed regularly. If a resident’s care needs change at all, we all work together  with their family too, to ensure their needs are fully being met and we’re able to change and adapt them as and when needed.

Our services and facilities all vary within the home but you can expect 24 hour care and support with medical care and personal wellbeing along with housekeeping, laundry services, dining, activities and entertainment and other in-house facilities such as our cinema room, garden, cafe and hair salon.

At Highwood Care Home, we require a 28-day notice period for residents receiving any of our long-term care types and are looking to move out. Our compassionate team are on hand around the clock to support you with your moving transition and answer any further questions you have.
